Selection of power and frequency of ultrasonic cleaner
Cleaner power selection:
Ultrasound cleaning effect is not necessarily proportional to (power * cleaning time). Sometimes it takes a small power and takes a long time to clean up dirt. If the power reaches a certain value, sometimes the fouling will be removed quickly. If the power is too high, the cavitation intensity will be greatly increased and the cleaning effect will be improved. But at this time, the more precise parts will also have corrosion spots, which is not worth the loss. Moreover, the vibration plate at the bottom of the cleaning cylinder will be seriously cavitated and the water point corrosion will increase. When using organic solvents such as trichloroethylene, there is basically no problem, but water or other organic solvents will be used. When water-soluble cleaning solution is used, it is easy to be corroded by water point. If the surface of vibration plate has been scarred, the cavitation corrosion will be more serious under high power water. Therefore, the ultrasonic power should be selected according to the actual use.
Frequency selection of cleaning machine:
In the case of low frequency, the time of pressure and tension of liquid becomes longer; therefore, the time and volume of cavitation are also longer, and the impact force produced by the closure of cavitation is proportional to the size of cavitation bubbles. So the lower the frequency, the stronger the cavitation.
The frequency of industrial cleaning is generally less than 60 KHz, and the most frequently used is between 20 and 40 KHz. With a frequency of about 20KHz, a relatively small number of cavitation bubbles can be obtained, but with high cavitation intensity and noise, which can be used to clean workpieces with high bonding strength between the surface of large parts and the surface of objects.
At the frequency of about 40KHz, under the same sound pressure, the number of cavitation bubbles is large, but when broken, the cavitation intensity is low, the noise is small, and the penetration ability is strong. It is suitable for the work with complex surface, blind hole, dirt and weak surface bonding force.
